A beautiful hot August day...

...it was today and we took the chance to go n another excursion to cool off, as the temperatures actually did reach 90 today in beautiful Portland. Do you know where we went? It is a little over an our drive from our house, the perfect place to go for a walk, swim, picnic, and also camping trip...We went to Trillium Lake which is right past Government Camp in the Mt. Hood National Forest. It is beautiful and a great place to cool off :). We went with friends, and the first item on the agenda was to walk - or dare we call it a mini hike - around Trillium Lake. It 2 miles to walk around the lake, and so scenic. Parts of the walk is on boardwalks over marshland leaving lots of room for imagination to search for fairies. After the walk the girls took a dip in the lake to cool off. This is a picture of Alena and her friend "holding" Mt. Hood.

Oh, how I love where we live...
