A life lesson learned...

we have cats.  You may have seen pictures of the girls with our cats.  Ron and I have had cats for close to twenty years.  Our first cat was Stinker.  Stinker was the first word both of our children said.  Yes, it was not Mama or Papa but Stinker.  Stinker the cat.  She was such a social cat and we lost her a couple of years ago.  Alena was with me in the room at the Vets when she went to sleep.  It was so sad...both kids were still young.

The other cat that moved with us from Chicago is Zeppelin {no, not the band but the airship}, we call him Zeppy. We also have Vanilla and Stripey, they are two years old and brothers.  Anyways,  Zeppy had stopped eating a few days ago.  He looked so frail and sad.  We told the girls that he probably will not live much longer.  It broke my heart to see him like that.  But it is life.  Birth - life - death the lifecycle.  An important lesson to learn...

So yesterday we got home and I could not find Zeppy.  Ron found him in the backyard.  He had died.  We told the girls.  They were so sad.  But it is life.  We talked about it.  Zeppy is now playing with Stinker.  He no longer is here.  We talked about him this morning.  We will light a candle for him.  I am sad - it is part of life.  Farewell my buddy boy - I miss you and your loud meow....It was time
